If you can picture yourself in a great relationship, you can have one. All it takes is a little imagination and a song - one that reinforces the feelings of love you want in your life. Sound simple? It is! And fun, too..

I am a big supporter of fantasies. After all, everything in life starts with an idea - from a Fortune 500 company to a great painting - and a romantic fantasy is just another idea. Ideas become reality when we put energy into them, especially emotional energy. By using music to energize your emotions you give your fantasy a passionate, single-minded energy that can propel it right into your life.

There are times when you are the only thing keeping you from realizing your dream. Whether it's a dream of owning your own business or having a great relationship, one part of you is all for it but another part of you may be afraid of failure, or perhaps you've had a few bad experiences and are now expecting the worst. When this happens, you are working against yourself, sometimes without even knowing it. Using Love Songs As Guided Visualizations

Choose a favorite love song or a song from the list of Top 20 Love Songs on this site. Make sure the song paints a positive picture of the kind of loving relationship you'd like to have in your life. Sit or lie down and take a few moments to relax your body and mind before playing the song. Set the volume level on your sound system to a comfortable listening level. (You may use headphones if you prefer.) As you listen, let the song lyrics suggest images and allow them to flow through your mind like a movie, a movie in which you and a dream lover have the leading roles.

When picturing yourself with a partner, it's not important that you picture a specific person, in fact it's better not to. Instead, simply focus on the feeling that someone is present in the room with you, someone with whom you feel very close and comfortable. If you find you are having difficulty visualizing, try focusing on the song for a while. Soon your mind will begin to pick up on words or phrases and will create the appropriate images.
